Change in Time for Workday

I have a funeral to attend.

Building Clean Up Day October 28, 2008 Tuesday

We have a tentative date for a workday. I know people have to work but if you can make it come on by. Tuesday Oct, 28th Starting at 12:00pm. We wont be doing a lot of demo, just cleaning out the junk so we can start getting some estimates. I picked this day because of the weather and also so I can get it loaded and out of there by Angels Night. Dont want the neighbors to fill it up before I do.

Georgia St. Community Center/Store

We just purchased this building for our new store/ community center.

The house on the right is connected to the store(All one property). The downstairs will be the community center and the upstairs will hopefully be rental income for the center.

Today, Kido from The Greening of Detroit came to the Garden so we could put together the hoop House.

Greening of Detroits visit to Giving Tree Farm

Today I took a trip to Lansing, Michigan to the Giving Tree Farm. They some great greenhouses.

Greening of Detroit awards Georgia St. Garden a Hoop House

Hello all. Just found out today that the garden was awarded a hoop house from The Greening of Detroit. I can extend the growing season. I plan on planting some spinach, some more lettuce and some all greens mix. This also means I can start planting a little earlier.
